Privacy Policy

Slumber Audio is a review and buying-guide site for sleep earbuds, headphones, masks, and noise-control gear. This page explains, in plain English, what information we handle when you visit and how affiliate links fit in.

Effective date: October 16, 2026

The short version

  • You don’t need an account to read anything on Slumber Audio.
  • We don’t sell products. Our buy buttons send you to Amazon or to the brand’s own store, and those sites handle your purchase and your payment details, not us.
  • We earn commissions on some purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you.
  • We collect little. Mostly standard technical data your browser sends to any website, plus the content of any message you choose to email us.
  • Please don’t send us sensitive health details. We can’t give medical advice, and we don’t need that information to answer a question about gear.

Who we are

Slumber Audio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website, which publishes comparison and informational content about audio and noise-control products used for sleep. The site is aimed at readers in the United States. This policy applies to the pages on this site and to messages you send us. It does not apply to other websites we link to.

Information we collect

Information you send us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, any name you include, and the content of your message. We use it to reply and, if relevant, to improve the site.

Information collected automatically

Like virtually every website, ours is served by a web host that receives standard technical data when your browser requests a page. That typically includes:

  • Network and device data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device type.
  • Visit data: the pages you request, the date and time, and the page that referred you (for example, a search engine).

We may also use analytics tools to understand which pages are read and which products readers are interested in. These tools usually rely on cookies or similar identifiers (see below).

Information we don’t seek

We don’t ask for payment card details, government ID numbers, or health information. Purchases happen on third-party sites, never on ours.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Here is how they are used on a site like this one.

Many product buttons and links on Slumber Audio are affiliate links. If you click one and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is how the site is funded.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

When you follow a link, you leave Slumber Audio and the destination site (Amazon, a brand’s store, or a reseller) collects and uses your information under its own privacy policy. Affiliate programs generally report orders to us for commission purposes without identifying you personally. We don’t receive your payment details, shipping address, or account information from those sites. Please review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Affiliate relationships do not change what we write about a product. See each page’s own content for how we describe and compare products.

How we use information

  • Run and secure the site: deliver pages, prevent abuse, and fix technical problems.
  • Understand readers: see which guides and comparisons are useful so we can improve them.
  • Respond to you: answer questions and feedback you send us.
  • Earn affiliate commissions: allow partners to attribute purchases to our links.
  • Meet legal obligations: comply with applicable law and protect our rights.

When we share information

We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers that help us operate the site, such as our web host and analytics provider, who process data on our behalf.
  • Affiliate partners, only to the extent a click on a link and any resulting purchase are tracked through their own cookies and systems.
  • Legal and safety reasons, where we believe disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, or the site.
  • Business changes, such as a sale or transfer of the site, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the information transferred until updated.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Retention and security

We keep emails and messages only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping. Server logs and analytics data are kept according to the retention settings of our hosting and analytics providers. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no website or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your US privacy rights

Depending on where you live, state laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, and comprehensive privacy laws in other states) may give you some or all of these rights:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or of targeted advertising.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email us using the address in the Contact us section. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, we generally respond within 45 days, and may extend that period once when permitted by law. You may also use an authorized agent, and if we decline a request, you may reply to ask us to reconsider. Because we collect little personal information, we may have nothing to provide or delete beyond messages you sent us.

Cookie and tracking choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser or extension that sends a privacy signal. Blocking cookies may prevent affiliate attribution, which does not change the price you pay.

To opt out of interest-based advertising by participating companies, you can use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool.

There is no uniform industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, and we do not currently respond to them.

Children’s privacy

Slumber Audio is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the US

This site is operated from, and aimed at readers in, the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed and stored in the US, where data protection laws can differ from those where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or applicable law changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Please check back from time to time.
